International organizations seek to punish Azerbaijan, as it is “not tool in their hands”

International organizations seek to punish Azerbaijan, as it is “not a tool in their hands”, Vice Speaker Bahar Muradova said Sept.30 at the first meeting of the autumn session of the Milli Majlis, commenting on the European Parliament resolution on human rights in Azerbaijan.

MP Gudrat Huseynguliyev said that he was against the break of relations with international organizations.

"Law enforcement agencies must take appropriate action and preventive measure of arrest before the court needs to be changed in respect of these people. In the world public opinion is formed by organizations controlled by large states. Admitting this bitter truth, I believe that we shouldn’t join an open confrontation with the West and international organizations because of five or six people, even if they committed the most serious crimes against the Azerbaijani people," said the deputy.

Vice-Speaker, objecting to this, noted that the matter is not in these people.

"If someone thinks that by relieving them, we will change the position of international organizations, that person is mistaken. Many structures believe that Azerbaijan is pursuing its own policy. They want to punish us not only for this but also for the fact that we are not a tool in their hands," said Muradova.
