Ministry of Communications plans to lift telephone subscription fees up

The Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan is considering to rise telephone subscription tariffs as expedient, Ali Abbasov, the Minister or Communications and Information Technologies, told media on Friday.

According to Abbasov, at the moment the Ministry is involved in development of proposals for further submission to the Tariff Council. "We plan to increase the current tariff (3300 manat per month), as it yield the prime cost four times. So, we propose to increase it up to 5500 manat per month," said the Minister.

Abbasov underlined that if the mentioned measures will be implemented then there will be no need to set limits for local talks.
