Extradition agreement between Azerbaijan, India enters into force

Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov received Indian Ambassador Vinod Kumar, Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan said on June 20.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and India.

It was noted during the meeting that new parliament and government were formed in India after the parliamentary elections there, and the sides will continue making joint efforts to develop relations.

In conclusion, the parties signed protocols on exchanging the decrees on ratification of the 'Extradition agreement between Azerbaijan and India' and the 'Agreement on mutual legal assistance on criminal offences between Azerbaijan and India'.

Following the signing of the protocols these agreements entered into force on 20 June.
