The guide of an Armenian reconnaissance and sabotage group was detained by the soldiers of Azerbaijani armed forces, according to Azerbaijani Defence Ministry's website.

Armenian reconnaissance and sabotage group attempted to cross the contact line of troops on January 28 at 15:00, in the direction of the Alibayli village of Azerbaijan's Tovuz district.

This attempt was prevented as a result of vigilance of Azerbaijani military units stationed at the contact line.

Following a brief skirmish the reconnaissance and sabotage group retreated.

As a result of the retreat, the group's guide Khojayan Mamika, who was armed and wounded, was arrested by Azerbaijani armed forces soldiers.

Currently the activities of the detained Armenian are being investigated.
