Greece and Azerbaijan have the political will to cooperate as deeply as possible in all possible fields. Ambassador of Greece to Azerbaijan, Dimitrios Tsoungas told Trend.
Greek ambassador said that both sides have established a joint intergovernmental committee since long time ago, which deals with a lot of things.
According to D.Tsoungas, the next meeting of the Committee will take place this year in Athens: "We are trying to define the dates. It covers a big range of issues and fields in which both sides would like to cooperate. Let's mention for example transport, energy sector, trade and commerce".
Greek ambassador noted that unfortunately, the level of trade and commercial relations between the two countries is very low compared to great the potential of both countries: "So we have to do something about that. Health sector, tourism, cooperation between businessmen of both countries are among a very big range of fields and sectors we would like to cooperate with Azerbaijan and I am sure that Azerbaijan would like to cooperate with us as well".
D.Tsoungas said that this joint intergovernmental committee is one of the most important fora, bilateral fora, in order to exchange views, to exchange know-how and to exchange our information, our experience in order to deepen and widen this cooperation.
