Group of Azerbaijani peacekeepers back from Afghanistan

A group of 32 soldiers from the Azerbaijani armed forces, who were included in the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF), have returned to Azerbaijan in rotation, according to Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's message.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces' peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan started on November 20, 2002.

Currently, 90 soldiers, two military doctors and two engineer-operator officers of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces are participating in the international peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan.
