Vice President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended opening ceremony of "Kuknar" project by Heydar Aliyev Center - PHOTOS

An exhibition has been held as part of Kuknar International Art Contest organized by the Heydar Aliyev Center. Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the event to view Christmas trees decorated in a completely new style.

The two-month contest saw about 18 artists and architects create Christmas trees of unusual shapes, some of them more than three meters high.

Speaking to the event, Director of the Heydar Aliyev Center Anar Alakbarov highlighted the importance of the contest. He said the exhibition features 18 works submitted for the contest.

Anar Alakbarov praised support of Vice President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva. He announced another project by the Heydar Aliyev Center, which will be Samani contemporary art festival, to be held next year.

Chairman of the Azerbaijan Artists` Union, People`s Artist Farhad Khalilov thanked the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Heydar Aliyev Center for organizing “such a beautiful event on the eve of the New year”.

The event featured the announcement of the winners of Kuknar International Art Contest. Faraj Rahmanov became the winner of the contest. Novruz Mammadov and Jamiddin Murtuzaliyev placed second and third respectively.
