Pakistani observers show thumbs up to presidential election in Azerbaijan

The observation mission of the Pakistani parliament has hailed the presidential election in Azerbaijan, and congratulated Ilham Aliyev on his landslide victory, the head of Pakistan`s observation mission, senator Mushahid Hussain Sayyed has said.

“Azerbaijan is an island of development and prosperity,” he noted. According to the head of the mission comprised of representatives of six Pakistani parties, the elections were in full compliance with the legislation of the country, and observers did not notice any serious irregularities.

He also expressed Pakistan`s full support of Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute.
