Azerbaijani company to invest over $60M in Tatarstan

A ceremony devoted to the beginning of realization of the investment project to build a plant for the production of juices and the logistics center of the Benkons Group Azerbaijani company will be held October 7 in Laishevskiy municipal region of Tatarstan (Sokury village), said the message of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) posted on its website.

The event will be attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

“The plant will specialize in the production of natural juices from organic fruit,” said the message. “The volume of investment in the project in Tatarstan will exceed 4 billion rubles ($61.45 million). The minimum project capacity is 53,856,000 liters per year. More than 250 job places will be created in Tatarstan as a result of the localization of the brand.”

It is planned that the plant and logistics center will start work in early 2017.

Provisional agreement on the implementation of the project was reached during the visit of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina to the Azerbaijan Republic in December, 2014. This project was presented to the President of Tatarstan February 3, 2015 at the Board of the Agency, and a cooperation agreement was signed between the company and TIDA.
