EU welcomes upcoming transparent parliamentary election in Azerbaijan

The EU welcomes the actions taken in Azerbaijan to hold the transparent election, Malena Mard, the ambassador, the head of the EU delegation to Azerbaijan, said.

Mard made this statement at a workshop in Baku, organized by the Central Election Commission (CEC) and the EU.

“The next parliamentary election, to be held in Azerbaijan in November 2015, increased an interest in the country, and international observers will closely monitor this election,” she said.

Mard also said that the EU is ready to render support for holding the election process in Azerbaijan and other countries at a higher level.

“The workshop, being held in Baku August 14, will be organized in other districts of Azerbaijan,” she said.

The parliamentary election is planned to be held in Azerbaijan in November 2015.
