The cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan is bearing fruit, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius said at the 14th session of the EU- Azerbaijan Council in Brussels today.
"I am happy to see that Azerbaijan and EU are moving closer to each other," he said.
The minister stressed that significant actions have been taken in the field of energy between Azerbaijan and the EU.
"One can highlight the Southern Gas Corridor, Shah Deniz and other important infrastructure projects," the minister added.
While discussing the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Linkevi?ius said that this conflict settlement remains one of the top priorities for EU's foreign policy.
Linkevicius welcomed the Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents' meeting, held in Vienna, and the desire to achieve progress in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement.
The minister expressed support for the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen.
