Adoption of law 'On Defamation' hangs in Azerbaijan this year

The discussion of the draft law “On Defamation” at the autumn session of the Azerbaijani Parliament has been delayed due to the recent opinion of the CE Venice Commission.

The Parliament told that the disagreement between the opinions of the Venice Commission and Azerbaijani side negatively affected the dialogue on the draft, for this reason the adoption of the document has been delayed.
