Azerbaijan in TOP 10 over dynamic growth in Internet and mobile communications penetration

 The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) has presented the next report "Measuring the Information Society".

According to the report, the world observes an increase in penetration of mobile communications and the Internet. The number of mobile phone users in the world today has reached 6 million subscribers.

The report says that Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia and Georgia are countries demonstrating the dynamic growth in penetration of mobile communications and the Internet.

Africa is the most lagging continent from world’s ICT development. About 70% of households have access to the Internet in Europe, over 50% in America, 37.3% in the CIS countries, 25% in the Arabian countries, 24.5% in the Asia-Pacific region.
