"Over the past few years there were achieved great success. The Presidents meet traditionally once or twice a year to exchange opinions on wider specter of issues which the countries are interested in. Obviously, the meetings and talks yield positive results," Mammadov told Trend.
The Senior State Officer voiced his confidence that the forthcoming visit of the Russian President to honor the opening of Year of Russia in Azerbaijan would become another step for the developing of relationship.
Mammadov did not rule out that the Azerbaijani and Russian Presidents could sign one more document which is currently under development. It is also planned to sign an agreement on cooperation of Azerbaijan with government of some regions of Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit Baku on 21-22 February.
