President Ilham Aliyev attends inauguration of Dada Gorgud Park in Baku - UPDATE - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today attended the opening ceremony of the Dada Gorgud Park in Narimanov, Baku.

The Azerbaijani President toured the Park. The Dada Gorgud Park occupies a total area of six hectares. A monument to Kitabi-Dada Gorgud was erected in the center of the Park. The monument was made by Honored Artist, sculptor Gorush Babayev.

The Head of State unveiled the monument.

Prior to the opening ceremony, the President met the country`s educational and cultural figures, and scholars.

President Ilham Aliyev made a speech at the event.

Chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, People's writer Anar, corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, professor Kamal Abdullayev and Honored Artist Gorush Babayev thanked the Head of State.

The Park has a lake, a modern waterfall, and pedestrian bridges.
