President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has visited the Heydar Aliyev Park in Kyiv as part of his official visit to Ukraine.

The park opened on April 25 this year on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The Head of State laid flowers at the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev in the Park.
President Ilham Aliyev toured the Park.

Head of Azerbaijan’s Gabala district Executive Authorities Sebuhi Abdullayev and Head of Rivne Regional State Administration Vasyl Bertash signed an agreement on interregional cooperation between Azerbaijan’s Gabala district Executive Authorities and Ukrainian Rivne regional State Administration.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine Eynulla Madatli and the Ukrainian President’s Adviser and Head of the Main Department for Humanitarian Development of the Presidential Administration Yuriy Bohutsky signed a cooperation agreement between the Scientific Methodical Center of Cultural Studies of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan and the Institute of Culturology of Academy of Arts of Ukraine.

A ceremony to award the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Ukraine has been held in Kyiv following the 4th session of the Council of Azerbaijani and Ukrainian Presidents.

The ceremony first heard Order of the Ukrainian President to award President Ilham Aliyev with the Order of Liberty, and the Order of the Azerbaijani President to confer Heydar Aliyev Order upon President Viktor Yanukovych.

The President of Ukraine presented President Ilham Aliyev with the Order of Liberty.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today been given an official welcome in front of the building of the Ukrainian Presidential Administration.

A ceremonial guard of honour was lined up for the Azerbaijani President at the square in front of the residence decorated with national flags of Ukraine and Azerbaijan.

The military orchestra performed state anthems of Azerbaijan and Ukraine. The presidents reviewed the ceremonial guard of honour.

President Ilham Aliyev greeted Ukrainian soldiers.

Azerbaijani state and government officials were introduced to Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovich, while members of the Ukrainian delegation to President Ilham Aliyev.
