NATO seeks for solution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as soon as possible, Special Representative of the Secretary General of NATO in the South Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai told.
"Solution of the conflict is very necessary, but it can be only a political solution. Therefore NATO supports the efforts of OSCE Minsk Group".
Talking about the possible role of the organization in solution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Appathurai said that given that both of the parties haven't been agreed upon the main principles on the settlement of the conflict, it is too early to talk about the role of any organization or a country in the settlement of the conflict.
"It is clear that the term of "frozen" conflict doesn't reflect the reality well. Both of the parties give information about frequent violation of ceasefire. There are serious loses among military and civilians"./Trend/
