A mosque will open in the Belarus capital of Minsk, according to mufti Abu Bakr Shabanovich, chairman of Belarus Muslims Community. “The date for the opening ceremony has already been set. It will open doors to visitors in July of this year. Many guests will be invited to attend the event.”
He said the mosque will be capable of handling up to 1,500 people.
According to mufti Shabanovich, there will also be a press conference center and study rooms. “There will also be ablution rooms for women and men, administrative rooms, and a library. We will also establish several rooms for our guests coming from other cities,” he added.
