Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's leadership pays tribute to National Leader

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's leadership and personnel visited the Alley of Honors to lay flowers at the tomb of Azerbaijan`s National Leader Heydar Aliyev June 26- on the Day of the Armed Forces of the Azerbaijan Republic.

Then, they visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity. The Supreme Council of the Azerbaijan Republic adopted the decision on the establishment of the Army in October 9, 1991. June 26 was declared the Day of the Armed Forces according to the Azerbaijani Presidential decision dated May 22, 1998.
