Andorra backs initiative of N?zami Ganjavi International Center

Prime Minister Antoni Marti of Andorra has met with Secretary General of Nizami Ganjavi International Center Rovshan Muradov and the ex-prime minister of Andorra, a member of the Center, Oscar Ribas Reig/

The meeting was held as part of a preparatory event prior to the 4th Global Baku Forum, initiated by the State Committee on Work with Azerbaijani Diaspora and organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.

Marti was informed about the Global Baku Forum that has already become premier event in the region, providing an opportunity for distinguished leaders and thinkers to discuss the ways and means to overcome some of the world's most pressing challenges.

Reig, on behalf of the members of Nizami Ganjavi International Center, handed over the invitation to Antoni Marti to take part at the Forum.

Marti expressed gratitude for invitation and praised such a platform for cooperation, noting that his country would continue cooperation with the Nizami Ganjavi Center.

Nizami Ganjavi International Center with its head office in Azerbaijan's second largest city, Ganja, was established in September 2012 to increase awareness of the great works of Nizami Ganjavi, to help return his masterpieces to the homeland, to serve as a depository for Nizami's works, and to further develop the values embodied in his works through community engagement.

“The magnificent sage” Nizami Ganjavi, the 12th century greatest representative of the Eastern Renaissance, displayed the quintessence of world literature and philosophy in his immortal work Khamsa (Five), via the aesthetic power of his art.

The great thinker was one of the most gifted and versatile authors in literary history not only in his own country, but also far beyond of its borders.
