First tender within TANAP project heralded

A first tender on Pre-Qualification of Main Line Pipes Manufacturing and Delivery as part of the Trans-Anatolia Pipeline project has been announced.

The applicants will further be asked to provide evidence of appropriate manufacturing facilities, quality control procedures, HSE standards and financial and technical capabilities. The Project may be financed by ECA’s or other long-term financial institutes, such as EIB, EBRD, and IFC.
The Pre-qualification Package will be distributed to all interested Applicants at no cost on 26th of July 2013 through e-mail or via access to Open Text download. Receipt of Applications is scheduled for 27th of August 2013. It is expected that the invitations to bid will be made in October/November 2013 and contract(s) will be awarded in May 2014.

TANAP Project will include a natural gas pipeline system running from Georgia-Turkey Border to Turkey-Greece Border. The pipeline system will mainly consist of steel pipe with a diameter of either 48” or 56” (including a short offshore section and interconnecting lines that may have reduced diameters), block valve stations, pigging stations, metering stations, pressure reduction stations, compressor stations and related SCADA and telecommunication facilities.
