Vitims' bodies from Moscow brought to Ganja airport

Dead bodies of 43 our compatriots died in the result of roof collapse in the Basman market of Moscow were brought to the Ganja Airport by aircraft from February 25 to 26.

Relatives of the died persons were brought to the Ganja Airport by a B-757 passenger airplane at 04:05, and dead bodies were brought to the airport by a Ilyushin-76 cargo aircraft at 06:05.

The correspondent of the Ganja bureau of APA reported from Ganja that officials of the Executive Power of Ganja also were in the airport.

The deputy of the Ganja city executive head Akif Alakbarov told journalists that special headquarters were established in the Executive Power in connection with the accident: "Officials of the Executive Power visited all addresses and necessary preparatory work has already been carried out, dead bodies brought to Ganja will be taken to their addresses by ambulances. The Transport Department appointed special cars for taking dead bodies from neighboring regions to their addresses. Burial measures are implemented, and owners of dead bodies can bury them in any funeral place they want. Relatives of dead bodies will be provided with any assistance."

According to witnesses of the accident, the number of persons died in the result of roof collapse in the Basman market exceeds 100 and dead bodies are still extracted from under ruins.

It should be noted that 24 of 43 our compatriots whose dead bodies were brought to the republic are residents of Ganja, 6 Mingechevir, 3 Yevlakh, 3 Samukh, 2 Gadabey, 2 Ordubad, 2 Baku and 1 Oghuz. 30 ambulances and 10 minivans cars were brought to the Ganja Airport to take dead bodies to their addresses.
