Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation to organize series of events

Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation will organize a series of events in the near future, according to the organization`s secretary general Elshad Isgandarov.

“Our major aim in organizing these events is highlighting the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and ensuring that the Khojaly genocide is given a due political assessment.”

He in particular touched upon the Youth for the Alliance of Civilizations movement, saying this initiative came from President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.

“This initiative by the Azerbaijani first lady was supported by youth from the five continents. This May the idea was backed by the United Nations, and it is now held under its auspices.”

Isgandarov also said Azerbaijan joined a movement to eliminate the world unemployment within the Organization of the Islamic Conference.

“And we plan to organize an OIC conference on elimination of unemployment in Baku soon,” he added.
