Azerbaijani Health Ministry issues official statement on plant explosion

Azerbaijani Health Ministry has issued an official statement on the explosion at Telemekhanika plant owned by the country’s Defense Industry Ministry in Shirvan city.

The statement said that the explosion at Telemekhanika plant resulted in 19 people getting injured. They were rushed to the Central Hospital of Shirvan city.

The injured are receiving high-level medical treatment at the hospital and 13 of them have already been released home after receiving ambulatory care.

Earlier, Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said that an industrial accident that occurred at Telemekhanika plant caused an explosion in one of the shops at the plant.
