Developing Azerbaijan is a merit of Heydar Aliyev

Azerbaijan commemorates its great leader Heydar Aliyev on the 11th year of his death anniversary paying tribute to his grave on December 12.

Deputy Parliamentary Speaker Bahar Muradova said at the anniversary day that the nation is owed to great leader Heydar Aliyev for independent and powerful Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan’s achievements as well as independence and statehood development are the merits of Heydar Aliyev, she added.

Muradova underlined that all his interests were directed to creating reliable and solid foundation for Azerbaijan. “Heydar Aliyev’s interests stand for today’s strong, rich and developing Azerbaijan with a worthy place in the international arena,” she said.

An economic model created by the great leader is successfully implementing today, said the vice-speaker.

She also added that growth rate of Azerbaijan -- the leading country in the South Caucasus and potentially significant partner in ensuring European energy security -- are underlined by many countries and international organizations.

Azerbaijan’s sustainable economic development on the background of the global financial crisis is a result of successful internal socio-economic policy.

Implementation of Heydar Aliyev’s policy, who incorporates the basic fundamental principles of the country’s development, provides development of all spheres in Azerbaijan.

“Sustainable economic policy, as well as independent and balanced foreign policy are of great importance, both for the internal stability of the country and its development, as well as strengthening of its international position,” Muradova said.

The progress made in a short time in the economic, social, military, political and cultural spheres of Azerbaijan, is primarily associated with the name of Heydar Aliyev, she stressed.

Heydar Aliyev, who assumed the leadership of the country during the most difficult of times at the request of his nation, gave great confidence to the people and laid the foundation for a country with the strong economic development.

Heydar Aliyev was a unique leader, who gained the love and respect of millions of people through his bright ideas and genuine works. He will remain on memories eternally through his ideas and the works he accomplished for the future of Azerbaijan.
