Following their talk in private, presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus have been joined by their countries` delegations for an expanded meeting.
The Heads of State made speeches at the meeting.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenko have had a one-on-one meeting in Baku.

The presidents hailed rapid development of the bilateral relations in political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian fields. They underlined good opportunities for expansion of ties between the two countries in a wide range of areas.

They expressed confidence the Belarus President`s visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to strengthening the bilateral relations.

The Heads of State exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has today been given an official welcome to Azerbaijan.

A ceremonial Guard of Honor was lined up for the Belarus President at the square decorated with the national flags of the two countries.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev welcomed Belarus counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.
The Azerbaijani and Belarus Presidents inspected the Guard of Honor as an orchestra played the national anthems of their countries.

The Belarus President greeted Azerbaijani soldiers.

Azerbaijani state and government officials were introduced to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, while members of the Belarus delegation to President Ilham Aliyev.

The Azerbaijani and Belarus Presidents then posed together for photographs.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenko have attended the opening of the new building of Belarus Embassy in Baku.

The Presidents cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the building.

The Presidents were informed that construction of the building started in June, 2012. The four-storey building will house both the Embassy and the Consulate of Belarus. There is also a five-storey residential block for staff members of the diplomatic corps.

The Presidents planted a tree in the yard of the Embassy.

The Heads of State then viewed machinery and vehicles produced jointly by the Ganja

Automobile Plant and Belarus Tractor and Automobile Plant.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has today visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country’s independence and territorial integrity.

A guard of honor was lined up for the Belarus President.

President Alexander Lukashenko laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.

A military orchestra played the national anthems of Belarus and Azerbaijan.

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has today visited the Alley of Honours to lay a wreath at the tomb of national leader, founder and architect of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev.

The President also put flowers at the graves of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, state figure Aziz Aliyev and Professor Tamerlan Aliyev.
