Head of Croatian parliament visiting Baku

Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Josip Leko has today embarked an official visit to Azerbaijan.
At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport Josip Leko was welcomed by First Deputy Chairman of Milli Majlis Ziyafat Asgarov and other officials.

The Croatian Speaker told journalists that the visit aimed to discuss development of the relations between the two countries` legislative bodies. Hailing the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Croatia, Leko expressed his confidence the visit would contribute to strengthening the bilateral ties. He also stressed he role of friendship groups in expansion of relations. The Croatian National Day and a ceremony marking Croatia`s joining the European Union will be held as part of the visit. Leko expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for the organization of such significant events.

The Croatian Speaker will hold a range of meetings as part of his visit to Baku.
