In the framework of the visit to France leader of the Azerbaijan National Independence Party Etibar Mamedov held a meeting with representatives of officials of foreign countries, reports Day.Az with reference to the press service for the party.

As is reported, the party leader met with former Australian Premier John Howard, Prime Minister of Croatia Ivo Sender, Prime Minister of Macedonia Nicala Aruyevski, as well as vice president of Taiwan, deputy chairman of the ruling party of Canada.
During the meeting the sides stressed need to expand the UN powers, define vectors for resolution of the regional conflicts and attain preservation of basic human rights.
In his speech the National Independence Party leader Etibar Mamedov noted that Azerbaijan must present its position about the occupation policy of Armenia to the world community.
It should be noted that the International Democratic Union comprises 82 right wing parties from 63 countries of the world.
The party joined the International Democratic Union in 1996. Party leader Etibar Mamedov has been the deputy chairman of the Union since 2003.
