September weather to be close to climate norm

Autumn is just around the corner. The summer holidays have now drawn to a close. The bright autumn colors, the chill in the air or even the moody foggy days are fast to approach.

September is still holding on to the last of the summer sunshine in Azerbaijan, so visitors can soak up some rays during their visit. There is an average of 10 hours of sunshine per day in the capital city Baku during the month, with over 50 percent chance of a sunny day.

The weather in September sees the last of the summer heat, as autumn begins in Baku. This means the temperatures drop slightly compared to the preceding months, but the weather remains warm and pleasant. The average daily temperature in Baku in September is 20°C, although highs can still reach 35°C, which can feel very hot. Luckily, night times are cooler, when the weather drops to an average minimum temperature of 18°C.

Overall, the average monthly temperature this September is expected to be close to the climatic norm along with a small positive margin in some places, the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry reported.

In Baku and Abshheron peninsula, in the afternoons of the first half of the month the temperature will be + 24-29?C but in several days will rise up +32-37?C. At nights temperature will be +18-23?C.

Monthly precipitation will be close to the climatic norm (12-23mm) and a little below the norm in some places.

In Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, average monthly temperature is predicted to be +21-24?C which is close to the climatic norm and above the norm. At nights temperature will be +17-22?C. In the afternoons the temperature will be +26-31?C but will rise up to +34-39?C in the several days. Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 7-13 mm).

As for Upper Karabakh, inlcuding Khankandi, Shusha, Khojali, Khocavand; Gubadli, Zangilan, Lachin, Kalbajar and Dashkasan, Gadabay regions, average monthly temperature predicted to be +14-18?C which is nigh to the climatic norm.

At nights the temperature will be +10-15?C. In the afternoons temperature will be +18-23?C, and will be+25-30?C in some days. Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 34-50 mm) and a little above the norm in some places.

Average monthly temperature is predicted to be +21-24?C which is close to the climatic norm in Gazakh-Ganja, Goranboy, Tar-Tar-Agdam-Agjabadi-Fuzuli-Jabrail regions,. At nights the temperature will be +17-22?C. In the afternoons the temperature will be +23-28?C, will be+32-37?C in some days in the second and third decade. Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 17-44mm) and a little above the norm in some places.

In Balakan, Zagatala, Qakh, Sheki, Oguz, Gabala, ?smailly, Agsu, Shamakhy, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Guba, Khachmaz, Gusar regions, average monthly temperature is predicted to be +17-21?C which is close to the climatic norm.

At nights the temperature will be +16-21?C. In the afternoons temperature will be from +22-27?C, will be+30-35?C in some days. Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 33-120 mm) and a little above the norm in some places.

In Central-Aran, including Agdash, Mingachevir, Yevlakh, Kurdamir, ?mishli, Beylagan, Sabirabad, Bilasuvar, Saatli, Shirvan, Haj?gabul, Salyan, Neftchala regions, average monthly temperature is predicted to be +23-25?C which is close to the climatic norm. 

At nights the temperature will be +18-23?C. In the afternoons the temperature will be from +25-30?C, will be +33-38?C in some days in the second and third decade. Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 14-38 mm) and a little above the norm in some places.

In Masall?-Lankaran-Astara-Lerik, Yardimli regions, average monthly temperature is predicted to be +21-24?C which is close to the climatic norm. At nights the temperature will be +17-22?C. In the afternoons the temperature will be from +23-28?C, will rise up to +31-36?C in some days in the second and third decade. Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 50-199 mm).
