“Day of Azerbaijan” in Cairo

The Azerbaijani Embassy in Egypt has organized the “Day of Azerbaijan” in the Cairo University.

The event brought together teaching staff and students of the University.

Addressing the event, Azerbaijani ambassador Shahin Abdullayev briefed the Egyptian teacher and students on his country’s achievements made in recent years and presidential elections held this October.

The ambassador highlighted the Azerbaijani people’s national struggle for independence, role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in modern history of the country, accomplishments gained under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

The ambassador responded to questions of students, who were interested in political, economic and cultural life of Azerbaijan.

The event participants also saw a film on Azerbaijan.
