OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen investigate case of Azerbaijani boy killed by Armenians

During regular monitoring of the occupied territories of Azerbaijan scheduled for April13, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen and Special Representative of the OSCE chairman will continue to investigate the case of the murder of a nine-year-old Azerbaijani boy by an Armenian sniper, which occurred in the village of Orta Garavend in the Agdam region.

According to the mandate of the Special Representative of the OSCE chairman, the monitoring is planned to be held on April 13 at the contact line of troops on the Aghdam - Barda road, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Eldar Sabiroglu said.

The 9-year old resident of the Orta Garvand village in the Agdam region was killed on March 8 as a result of a ceasefire violation by Armenian troops. Badalov was shot in the head while playing in his yard. He was taken to hospital, but doctors failed to save his life.

During the monitoring, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen and Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman will visit the village of Orta Garvend in the Agdam region by crossing the contact line of troops in the occupied territories.

The monitoring will be held on the Azerbaijani side by OSCE Chairman-in-Office Personal Representative field assistants William Pryor, Christo Christov and Antal Herdich.

The monitoring will be held on the opposite side, which the international community recognizes as Azerbaijani territory, by OSCE Chairman-in-Office Personal Representative Andrzej Kasprzyk. his field assistants Imre Platinus and Marius Puodziunas.
