Republic Day of Azerbaijan marked in Prague

On May 29. the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Czech Republic has organized a ceremony to mark the Republic Day of Azerbaijan.

After the national anthems of Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic were performed, Ambassador Farid Shafiyev of the history of the Republic Day. Touching upon the Czech-Azerbaijan relations, the Ambassador noted the importance of the visits of Azerbaijani officials to the Czech Republic, as well as the forthcoming visits of president Milos Zeman and the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament, Jan Hamá?ek, to Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Jan Hamá?ek praised the friendly relations between the two countries.

Mr. Jan Hamá?ek expressed his confidence for fair solution of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict.

Representatives of the Czech government, the diplomatic corps, members of the Czech-Azerbaijan community attended the event.
