Azerbaijani Armed Forces knock Armenian helicopter

Azerbaijani Armed Forces shot down an Armenian helicopter, which violated the airspace of the country, on November 12.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said the Armenian air forces have made provocative flights over the contact line for last three days while the Azerbaijani Armed Forces were conducting military drills.

The hostile military forces' combat maneuvers in the Azerbaijani airspace continued with open combat flights of the helicopters, which attempted to fire the positions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

A helicopter belonging to Armenian Armed Forces has deliberately attacked the Azerbaijani army's positions locating 1.7 kilometers north-east of Agdam region's Kangarli village at 1:45 p.m, on November 12. Anti-aircraft forces shot down the helicopter to prevent the enemy's attack. The debris of the destroyed helicopter fell down the area located about 500 meters ahead of the contact line. Personnel of the Azerbaijan's AF and appropriate equipment were dispatched to the crash site following the incident.
