First lady Mehriban Aliyeva meets Iranian Vice-President

Azerbaijan`s first lady Mehriban Aliyeva has today met Iranian Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Molaverdi, who is in Baku to attend the 5th Ministerial Conference on the Role of Women in the Development of the OIC Member States.
Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva expressed hope that the 5th Ministerial Conference on the Role of Women in the Development of the OIC Member States would be a success. The first lady thanked Shahindokht Molaverdi for attending the event.
Saying cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran covered various fields, Mrs. Aliyeva noted that the two countries` presidents met three times this year. She stressed the reciprocal visits and meetings contributed to strengthening relations between the two countries even further. The first lady expressed confidence that the international conference in Baku would play an important role in addressing the challenges facing women.

Iranian Vice-President Shahindokht Molaverdi thanked for the invitation to the conference. Saying it is her first visit to Baku, the Vice-President expressed hope that the conference would contribute to increasing women`s role in Islamic states.
Then they posed for photographs.
