Contacts of his commanders found on mobile phone of Armenian diversion soldier captured in Tovuz - PHOTOS

Journalists were permitted to see member of Armenian intelligence-diversion group, APA’s regional correspondent reports. The military unit noted that four members of the intelligence-diversion group that retreated with losses were killed and one more member, resident of Chinari village of Berd region 25-year-old Karen Petrosyan was detained by Azerbaijani soldiers.

A lot of weaponries were found on the neutralized members of intelligence-diversion group.

Karen Petrosyan’s photos in military uniform and telephone numbers of his commanders were found on the mobile phone that belongs to him.

The detainee begged Azerbaijani President and people's pardon and asked to return him to his country.

Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry has issued a statement on the Armenian detained on the front line.

The Ministry’s press service told APA that today at about 13:30 Armenian intelligence-diversion group has attempted to cross the line of contact in Tovuz region.

Thanks to the vigilance of our units on the front line, the enemy’s attempt was prevented. Measures were taken in order to neutralize the group.

Four members of the subversive-diversion group that retreated with losses were killed and one more member, resident of Chinari village of Berd region 25-year-old Karen Petrosyan was detained by our soldiers.

Investigation of the group’s plan and activity is underway.
