President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Baku Alexis Chahtahtinsky.

They discussed the current state of and prospects for the Azerbaijan-OSCE cooperation.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received an Austrian delegation led by Second President of the National Council Karlheinz Kopf.

Karlheinz Kopf congratulated the Head of State on economic development of Azerbaijan.

He hailed ongoing rapid development processes in Baku.

Karlheinz Kopf informed President Ilham Aliyev about his meetings in the Azerbaijani capital.

The Azerbaijani President said relations between the two countries had been developing successfully.

President Ilham Aliyev recalled his last year visit to Austria, particularly his meetings with business circles.

The Head of State hailed activities of Austrian companies in Azerbaijan as successful.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that Second President of the National Council Karlheinz Kopf`s visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to expanding the interparliamentary ties.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received a delegation led by Chief of the Turkish General Staff Necdet Ozel.

They noted that friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey had been developing successfully on all fronts, including in the military and technical fields.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that Necdet Ozel`s visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to expanding relations in these fields even further.

They also discussed prospects for cooperation in the military and technical fields.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Turkmenistan`s deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov.

Rashid Meredov conveyed greetings of Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhamedov to the Azerbaijani leader. He also handed over President Berdimuhamedov`s letter to President Ilham Aliyev inviting him to pay an official visit to Turkmenistan. Rashid Meredov hailed as special the role of friendship ties between heads of state in terms of expanding the bilateral relations.
President Ilham Aliyev described Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan ties as “dynamically developing”.

The Head of State said peoples of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan have ancient history and ethnic roots, adding the two countries enjoy active cooperation in various fields. President Ilham Aliyev stressed the significance of personal ties between heads of state and high-level meetings in terms of enhancing the bilateral relations. The Head of State expressed hope that the visit of Turkmenistan`s deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov to Azerbaijan would contribute to further bolstering the relationship.

President Ilham Aliyev asked Rashid Meredov to pass on his greetings to Turkmenistan`s head of state.
