President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today inspected newly remodeled secondary schools No249 and No138 in Khatai district, Baku.
The schools were overhauled under a state program for speeding up socio-economic development of Baku and its suburbs.
The Head of State first visited school No249. Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov informed the President that the building of the school was constructed in 1972. There are now 1400 pupils in the 1280-seat school. It provides education in both Azerbaijani and Russian languages. The school occupies a total area of 2,252 square meters.
President Ilham Aliyev then visited school No138. The Head of State was informed of reconstruction work here. The school, which consists of two blocks, was built in 1977. The 1176-seat facility serves 1020 pupils now. The building also houses 80-seat Fuzuli district school No30./AzerTAg/
