Railway communication between Georgia and Azerbaijan renewed

The railway connection between Georgia and Azerbaijan, which was suspended on Sunday due to an accident on the territory of Azerbaijan, has been restored and is in normal mode, sources in Georgian Railways told Interfax.
According to the head of the PR department Irma Stepnadze, the repair work was performed quickly.

"At present, the movement of trains from Azerbaijan to Georgia and in the reverse direction is carried out in full", said I. Stepnadze.

It was reported that on Sunday, five tank wagons with oil of the train sent from Baku to Batumi, left the rails in Kurdamir region of Azerbaijan, near the railway station Sygyrly. Oil spill did not occur during this.
