Turkish Ambassador: "We should not forget massacres committed by Armenians in Azerbaijan in 1918"

"We should not forget the massacres committed by Armenians in Azerbaijan in 1918. We should take into account that these massacres were not committed only against Turks, but against all Muslims," Turkey's ambassador Huseyn Avni Garsioglu told journalists.

He said he regrets that Armenia does not cooperate with Turkey in investigating the events happened in 1915.

"Turkey supports establishing a joint history commission with Armenia to investigate the facts. But Armenia avoids joint activity and accuses Turkey of committing genocide against Armenians. I think if investigations are carried out, personal archives should be investigated. There are interesting documents concerning these events in the archives of some organizations in Boston," he said, APA reports.
