Germany considers Azerbaijan main economic partner in South Caucasus

Azerbaijan is the largest economic partner of Germany in the South Caucasus, Manfred Grundke, managing partner of the major German manufacturing company Knauf Gips KG, said June 7.

Grundke made the remarks in Berlin at the Azerbaijan-Germany business forum, Trend's special correspondent reported.

The Azerbaijan-Germany business forum kicked off in Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy June 7. Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev participated in the forum.

Grundke added that Knauf Gips KG supports the steps taken by Azerbaijan for diversification of economy and development of non-oil sector.

Germany supports the reforms carried out by Azerbaijan in the economy and hopes for further improvement of the investment environment, he said.
