Mass poisoning recorded in Azerbaijan

Mass poisoning was recorded in Salyan region of Azerbaijan, Director of Salyan Region Hygiene and Epidemiology Center Intigam Abishov reported.

he said mass poisoning occurred on April 18 during funeral repast in Khidirli village of Salyan region. After eating in the funeral feast the people suffered from nausea, vomit, stomach ache. 14 women, 7 men were hospitalized to Salyan Central Regional Hospital’s department of communicable diseases. More 10 people were sent to Poison Control center. After receiving first aid they were let home.

31 people got poisoned in the funeral feast. Abishov said that the examples were taken from patients and all foods eaten by them. The reason of the poisoning will be announced after analyses.
