Turkish Air Force attacks PKK camps

Turkish Air Force is conducting an air attack against militants of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party in the province of ?irnak, the Turkish news agency "Anatolia" reported on Tuesday.

The operation is currently ongoing. Information concerning eliminated militants has not been reported yet.

Activation of PKK resulted in resuming military operations against them by Turkish army.

In ten months Turkish security forces defused 716 PKK terrorist militants in different parts of the country. Among those militants 496 terrorists have been killed, 21 injured, 44 arrested and 155 surrendered themselves to the authorities.

During this period,security forces conducted 6 large-scale and 19 local operations against militants.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK that require creation of an independent Kurdish state, continues for more than 25 years, and has claimed more than 40,000 lives. PKK is recognized as a terrorist organization by the UN and the European Union.
