1365 municipal candidates registered in Azerbaijan

The candidacy of 1365 people on 82 electoral districts and 309 municipalities were registered for participation in rerun, additional and new elections to the municipalities which will be held on November 30, the Central Election Commission said. 1561 people took the signature sheet.

1465 of them returned the signature sheets.

The process of nomination to the municipality started on September 30. Azerbaijani citizens, who reached 21, as well as the initiative groups of the voters, political parties and alliances can nominate to the municipality membership.

The election will be held to 464 places on 86 electoral districts and 330 municipalities. The last municipal election was held in Azerbaijan on December 23, 2009.
