60 criminal cases on tax evasion, illegal business instituted in Azerbaijan

As of April 1, there are 9,832 defaulting taxpayers in Azerbaijan and this figure accounts for 4.6% of the taxpayers in total, country's taxes minister Fazil Mammadov told a government meeting.

During the first quarter of this year 60 criminal cases were instituted against tax dodgers, and illegal businesses.

He said mobile tax examination fell 30.6%, year-on-year, during this period. APA-Economics
