Four Azerbaijanis injured in Moscow market blast

The committers of the bomb blast in Cherkizovo market in the Russian capital, Moscow, have been identified.

Moscow prosecutor Yuri Syomin said the terrorist act was committed by students of Chemical faculty of higher school in the capital. He confirmed the version that it was committed due to national conflict and according to him, the students admitted that they aimed to kill non-Russians.

Law enforcement bodies detained three suspected students yesterday, their mates and leader of the group have been identified. They are being searched now.

A lot of explosives were found while searching the house of the students. The compositions of these chemical explosives were proved to be the same with the explosive detonated in the market. Syomin said the hand-made explosive was used in the explosion of Cherkizovo market.

35 injured, including 22 men, 12 women and one child have been hospitalized. Doctors say 11 of them are in extreme critical condition, four in critical, 14 less critical and six in better condition. A total 49 injured were hospitalized after the explosion, 12 were released after first aid. Two died in hospital.

Five of the dead are believed to be Chinese and one Vietnamese. Prosecutor Syomin said it is difficult to identify the dead.

"All the bodies were taken to morgue and most of them cannot be identified as they burnt completely. The bodies need to undergo genetic examination for identification," he said.

The identifying procedure will start today. It is not known exactly whether or not there are Azerbaijanis among the casualties.

Our compatriots working in Cherkizovo market told that four Azerbaijanis were injured in the blast but no one died.

The bomb blast occurred yesterday in Evraziya part of the famous Cherkizov market in Moscow.

Eyewitnesses said two persons had been seen leaving a bag near one of the market's pavilions shortly before the explosion. According to initial calculation, the power of the blast was equal to 1.2 kg of trotyl.

It was a strong blast as there was a gas-cylinder nearby. Cherkizov market is run by Azerbaijani Telman Ismayilov, who owns "AST" firm. The market in 20 hectares of area has brought together Chinese, Vietnamese and Caucasian tradesmen, APA reports.
