Azerbaijan, Italy eye energy cooperation

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev has today met an Italian delegation led by Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry Marta Dassu and State Secretary for Economic Development Claudio De Vincenti.

During the meeting, they discussed prospects for energy, oil and gas cooperation between Italy and Azerbaijan. Aliyev briefed the Italian delegation on the energy projects implemented in Azerbaijan. He said Azerbaijan was interested in cooperation with the European Union in energy security sphere.

They also discussed the Trans-Anatolian (TANAP) and Trans-Caspian gas pipeline projects.
They exchanged views on a number of other issues of mutual interest.
