Azerbaijani population's bank deposits reach record $2.81 billion

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) announced on new record achievement of the country’s banks in attraction of the population’s bank deposits – AZN $2.805 bn in accord with exchange rate on 1st December (AZN 0.8025 for 1 US dollar )

CBA said that on 1st December, 2009, the population’s bank deposits in the country’s banks amounted to AZN 2.25 bn versus AZN 2.125 bn on 1st November, AZN 1.9 bn on 1st January 2009 and AZN 1.808 bn on 1st December 2008.

As the result for November 2009, volume of the population’s bank deposits increased by 5.9 percent. Growth totaled 24.54 percent at an annualised pace.
