Azerbaijan, Spain sign agreement on cooperation

The Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences signed a cooperation agreement in the sciences with the University of the Basque Country, the academy said.

The agreement was signed during Vice President Arif Hashimov's visit to Spain and involves cooperation in education and research.

The University of the Basque Country is the only public university in northern Spain. It is a major research institution conducting 90 percent of the studies in the area.
