“Armenian, Azerbaijani presidents’ Moscow meeting was important and significant."

Agreement on resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is less likely to be signed any time soon, Armenian Strategic and National Studies Center Director Richard Giragosyan said at a news conference in Yerevan.
“Nevertheless, the meeting showed Russia, the United States and Europe’s pressure on resolution of the Karabakh conflict which can be attributed to the fact that Karabakh conflict is the only frozen conflict in the region,” he said
Giragosyan said that the pressure of the superpowers are more directed to a process ongoing between Yerevan and Ankara rather than Karabakh conflict.
“The Armenia-Turkey process is faster than Karabakh. But the problems of the two processes are interrelated and it is not coincidence that both Moscow and Washington support Turkish diplomacy. Thus, Turkey, underlining the progress in the negotiation process, is willing to justify the opening of borders and normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations,” Giragosyan said.
So, the Armenian expert to substantiate in this way the appointment of the next meeting of the heads of Armenia and Azerbaijan in autumn of this year when “football diplomacy” is expected to continue.
