Chairman of Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly meets Turkish ambassador

Chairman of the Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly Vasif Talibov has met Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic, deputy director general of Turkish Airlines Orhan Sarikaya, director for regional flights at Anadolu Jet Company Sami Alan and head of the Azerbaijan office of Turkish Airlines Nevzat Sark.

Talibov touched upon the launch of the Istanbul-Nakhchivan flight, describing it as “a remarkable event” in the history of the Azerbaijani-Turkish relationship. He said this would “greatly contribute” to expanding the bilateral economic ties. The Turkish ambassador thanked Talibov for his contribution to opening the Istanbul-Nakhchivan flight. Kilic expressed confidence Nakhchivan would have a railway link to Turkey soon.

He said Turkey and Nakhchivan had big potential to start energy cooperation in near future as well. Azerbaijani consul general in Istanbul Hasan Zeynalov and Turkish consul general in Nakhchivan Ayhan Enginar were present at the meeting.
